I remember having a sticker that said "P.S. I Love You" when I was a kid, but I had to ask around to figure out what it meant. When I finally found out that the "P.S." was for Palm Springs, I wasn't really sure what to think - I had no idea what Palm Springs was all about.

But had I known then, what I know now... I would have tried to convince my parents we needed to drive down and visit it on our way to Disneyland! :-) Joe and I visited here once in 1999, but haven't been back since; not sure why, except maybe that the world is big and there are a lot of place to see?! At any rate, I am SO glad we planned this trip. This was essentially the re-do plan of our Spring Break in Mexico, that was cancelled due to my surgery.
I appreciate sunshine... Don't get me wrong - I wouldn't want to live in a place like this 100% of the year, but I can sure use the sunshine for our vacations. I love Oregon and all of the greenery, but at times, I need to go to a place where I know the sunshine can be counted on! :-)
I arrived here by myself today (Joe will get here tomorrow night, as he had to work through Friday.) But he was very gracious and took me to the airport EARLY this morning. It was an unevenful plane trip (once I actually got past the security line - I am a heavy traveler - 1K status on United - and have never seen the line that long...) When I got to Palm Springs, I got the rental car and had no problem making my way to the J.W. Marriott... easy.
And this place is beautiful - they are also very customer service oriented, which is wonderful. So today, I enjoyed a little peace & quiet by the pool... and tonight I am doing one of my favorite things when I travel alone: room service and a movie!
