We are tired... but home.
This was definitely a different Spring Break than the one we had planned on... and it was a good thing we pushed on through from Crescent City to Grants Pass last night, as the I-5 passes were horrible this morning. We opted to take a different route - and even though snowy, it was much better. So today's trip was pretty uneventful from Grants Pass to Portland.
Yesterday we took the route over the Golden Gate bridge through some wine country and along the coast of California. We even stopped off at one of the Redwood Forest "touristy" places so that we could snap some pictures. It was one LONG day for driving, but it was a pretty drive, despite the downpour for most of the way.
Samuel is one good kid and did so great on this trip! He amazed us with his patience... He was so glad to get home though - and was very happy to see his room and toys!
As for us? We need a nap!!! :-)
