I had been at the “quiet” pool, when all of a sudden; I was swarmed by a group of Bikram Yoga conference attendees… All I could hear was chatter on "neuro transmitters, body form, body experience, and mind control." Aaaahhh (shouldn't they have been in class or something?) At any rate, I couldn’t take it any more and had to leave the “quiet pool.”
So I headed back to the main pool and found myself a “true” nice & quiet place. About an hour later, a woman came over and put down towels next to me. I was a bit surprised as there was a whole pool full of chairs available, but then - it was a good location, so I didn’t blame her.
I had ordered a fruit plate and started enjoying it when her husband showed up… so I got half way through my fruit plate when I realized it was entirely too much for one person. So, I offered it to her husband – but as I was looking at him, I realized I knew him! He went to Linfield College at the same time I did (Brent Bracelin.) So we ended up chatting away, catching up on all the people we both knew. Such a small world! I really enjoyed his wife Sarah too, so it was a nice way to spend the afternoon.
Joe called and is at the Portland airport waiting to board the plane! Yea… I have had a really nice time here by myself, but I am looking forward to having his company!
