Kauai: Sunrise & Morning Run/Walk

First of all: The moods all-around the Wilkins vacation home are MUCH better today! After getting some sleep and taking a break from our long travel day, we are all happy to be here in one of our favorite places on earth! I am so glad for this...  the challenging travel day was worth it after all!  :-)

We got up early, given we are on PST... I clicked a few pictures from our patio - it was so pretty! I also wanted to mention the turtles... this place is known for turtle watching (reading guest comments is pretty neat.) So LATE last night Joe and I took turns going down to the water on our path and viewing them. It is so neat to watch them in the water! One of them was sort of high-centered on a rock, so hopefully he is gone today and not stuck!

We headed up with Samuel, Luke and BOBx2, to Lawai Beach (timeshare) and enjoyed seeing how everything looked. Then we ran to Starbucks (we have to earn those!) And then we made our way to the Sheraton (another of our favorite hotel spots.) They are doing some major renovations to it - very nice. Then we stopped at the new shopping center and snapped a few pictures (the only stores open that early were the grocery store and Lapperts coffee and ice cream shop.)

Samuel chose to play in the pool this morning vs. going to the beach, so we will start there. No other plans - everything is ad-hoc on this vacation, which is fine by me!

Our house from last year (very close to where we are now)  It is for sale!  Anyone have an extra couple of million $$ to spend?  :-)
Joe is pointing our house (right next to Whalers Cove Condos)  That is our pathway down to the inlet.
