Tuesday: A Perfect Evening

It was sort of "wet" on the patio table (from the rain earlier) so we opted to eat inside tonight... a new experience. We had grilled pork, pasta w/ white wine sauce and a green salad. Joe, Samuel and I all pitched in to get dinner on the table, so that made it all the more enjoyable...

As we were finishing up dinner, Joe said I should go on a walk with Luke - just the two of us. So I put him in the carrier and headed to "Baby Beach." What a special walk we had! We watched the sunset, talked about life, took pictures of flowers and picked out a special piece of coral on the sand. I felt so blessed... The breeze was perfect, the ocean waves were strong and I was spending time with a baby I never thought I would have... I took a few pictures with the self-timer - they aren't all that great, but it doesn't matter... it was a moment that was caught on film and I won't ever forget it.

Kauai makes me happy in my heart.  It is a VERY special place that will always feel like a second home to me.

Then, when I got home, I found the house empty. I noticed the gate to the waterfront was opened, so I figured Samuel and Joe were down watching the turtles. I took the camera down and was able to snap a few "decent" pictures. WOW - there are turtles EVERYWHERE! They were popping their heads up right and left, saying "hello." Samuel loves them, just like us - so it was so much fun to share it with him. He has quite the eye for spotting them and was helping me find them for picture-taking.

What a special evening!  Even though the sun didn't shine all that much today - we had a MARVELOUS day! Kauai is good for the soul...
